There are some businesses that are just fun to photograph, and Rooted & Rogue is definitely one of them.
When Rooted & Rogue Salon invited me to photograph their brand, I wanted to create more than a collection of pretty images. We wanted photographs that captured the personality of the salon, the artists behind it, the details that make their space unique, and the overall experience they create for their clients.
As a Spokane branding photographer, this is exactly the kind of work I love creating. Branding photography gives me the opportunity to step inside a business and tell its story visually, creating images that can be used across a website, social media, marketing, advertising, and everyday content.
Inside the Rooted & Rogue Branding Shoot
Rooted & Rogue is a modern beauty collective in Spokane with a creative, individualistic approach to beauty and self-expression.
For this session, we photographed the salon itself, the team, the artists at work, details throughout the space, products, tools, services, and the little moments that help communicate what makes the Rooted & Rogue experience unique.
Rather than creating a gallery filled with stiff, overly posed portraits, I wanted the images to feel natural, editorial, and intentional.
The goal was for someone looking at these photographs to get a feeling for the space and the people behind the business before they ever walk through the door.
And that's one of my favorite things about branding photography.
It's not just about showing people what your business looks like. It's about showing them what it feels like.
Photographing the Details
When I'm photographing a business, I'm always looking for the little details that help tell its story.
The products on the shelves.
The tools an artist uses every day.
The texture and design of the space.
Hands at work.
The finished result.
Those details may seem small, but together they create a visual identity that helps a business feel recognizable and cohesive.
For a salon or beauty professional, these images can become incredibly useful marketing content. They can be used on Instagram, websites, booking pages, advertisements, email marketing, promotional materials, and more.
Branding Photography for Spokane Businesses
One of the things I love most about working with small businesses is getting to see the passion behind what they have built.
Your business isn't just your logo or your website. It's your personality, your space, your process, your clients, your team, and the experience you create.
Your photography should reflect that.
Whether you're a salon owner, hairstylist, esthetician, makeup artist, creative entrepreneur, boutique owner, or another local business owner, professional branding photography can give you a library of images that feels cohesive and genuinely represents your brand.
And instead of wondering what you're going to post next week, you'll have an entire collection of photographs ready to work for you.
